A case of the Geo-Jitters

Yesterday I received my GPS receiver in the post.

Before my surgery, an online friend enthusiastically told me of their adventures geocaching. It sounded interesting, fun but I supposed with my health in that state the closest I would come to doing it would be reading the logs of others online.

I like to learn, to research...so I read up on the topic. And after my surgery, plateauing in my recovery, I was reminded yet again and thought "what's stopping me now?"

I thought about it and realised, the only thing stopping me now is me. I went from walking everywhere to...going nowhere. So why don't I change that?

I formed a Geocaching team, grabbed a free friend and headed out. Elouise in her buggy, clapping her hands.... GPSr, pen, pad in my swag.

We ended up finding 3 local cache, all in all I got 5 hours of walking... good old-fashioned exercise.

I'm on the way to getting social, getting fit, getting out and getting happy.

Christmassy fun

I've got a couple of MOO orders coming - one with my blog details like a usual business card and a set of cards for my geocaching team to put in logs.

I've got a new GPSr coming, an order of dresses coming....

And I'm hosting a party on the 9th. I'm so excited to see Sez and family and give special presents to Sez and Ellen. Should be a great day.
J is gonna help me decorate, I've got a list going so I'm having fun party-planning.

I've gotten three Hujoo dolls and a Wonderfrog recently. And I cleaned up my craft table for doing some more projects.

I have a pile of old photos coming so I'm pretty excited, looking forward to forming an album of forgetten memories.

It's been really nice recently, me and Elouise are really spending some fun times together when usually she prefers her Dad, she now seeks me out.

I'm really looking forward to the Christmas season.

Catchup

I hate follow-ups, I've had the lady from the council visit last week and she was so irritatingly nice, the false put-on pasted smile and fake enthusiasm and I had to grit my teeth and be nice of course. I dunno which annoyed me more her or the effort it takes to not tell her what I really think of her...

My efforts paid off though, I've got a house-visit nanny for Tuesdays and Fridays and a cleaner for Friday. It's hard recovering when everyone official wants you to entertain them LOL

Elouise now says "Mama" - I am her fourth word. Da-Da was first.... then Doodie [her dummy] then Ba-Oom [Bathroom].
Yes, bathroom was above me in apparent importance.
